Emoseh, who is from Taraba State, was raised in Northern Nigeria, between Kaduna, Jos, and Abuja, which she claims served as inspiration for her artwork. She was brought up in a traditional household where her parents restricted her movement. Because she frequently participated in school talent events where she sang original songs and people memorized her lyrics, Emoseh had a reputation as a teenager in her school as a kid who could sing and play the guitar. Emoseh would continue to create beats and give them to rappers at school. Over time, she began to develop her own musical style and production abilities. Everyone around Emoseh when she was younger—including herself—thought of music as a hobby. Her father, however, urged her to pursue music as a career. She began creating songs when she was 8 years old and frequently offered them to her parents. Emoseh’s father, who she claimed was a major influence on her early musical training, once played in a band. She chose the moniker “Bloody Civilian” because of the numerous instances of military atrocities she witnessed while growing up in northern Nigeria.
She was featured in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack, Bloody Civilian on the tune ‘Wake Up’. She and Rema bask in the spotlight, infused with dancehall flavors and an afrobeat bounce, with Bloody establishing her place as a new rising star.
