We caught up with rising dancehall and afropop star Litovibes, to discuss his journey, inspirations, and future aspirations. From his humble beginnings freestyling with friends to the release of his latest record “My Way”. Litovibes shares insights into his creative process and the messages he aims to convey through his music.
Tell us how you started your journey in music
I had this friend I used to chill with. One day, we were freestyling and thought we should do a song together. I went ahead to get the beats and shared them with him with the hope we’d book a recording session together. Weeks later, I saw my guy had gone ahead to record the song alone, as he was the one who could afford a session at the time.
That incident got to me and I challenged myself to get into music professionally.
Even though I couldn’t afford a session then, I knew I was talented and needed to push myself.
How do you feel on the release of your new record?
